From start to finish everyone was great. The initial measurements, follow up measurements, and installation was all easy and painless. The installation team we had was professional, nice, and fast. We had a shade installed onto our backyard pergola yesterday and Shem and his crew were nothing but wonderful. Shem was great from the start with our quote. He was thorough and explained everything well. He is a super nice guy to chat with too. Yesterday during install they were friendly, worked in a timely manner & cleaned up when they were done.
They were spot on with their time estimate as to when everything would be ready for install. Price was great in comparison to other quotes we got as well. So far we are very happy with our product. Money well spent!
They KNOW Every Detail
I made the mistake of buying my Sunsetter awning directly from the Sunsetter factory, thinking that I could just hire some handymen to install. Sunsetter didn't help too much by suggesting this could easily be done. WRONG.
I initially hired three "handymen" to do the job and within just a few minutes realized they were not up to installing a 250 lb, motorized awning on a stucco wall, 10 ft up. So, I decided to bite the bullet and see if a window covering retailer like Home Living Window Fashions would install my existing awning already delivered from Sunsetter. HLWF said no problem and sent out someone to look at what I had and measure up the outside situation. He then gave me an exact quote. Yes, it was more than I expected. But I was now well aware of the expertise and equipment needed to do this installation job RIGHT. So, I said enough messing around and scheduled the installation.
Shem and Grant came out with all the equipment and very carefully and professionally installed this big awning PERFECTLY. But here is the really good part that I hadn't originally considered. These guys KNOW every detail of these awnings and how to use and care for them. They took to the time to show me things and answer ALL of my questions about using and caring for my awning. Shem even showed me some cleaning tricks that I never would have learned on my own or from any generic "installer." Shem and Grant could not have been nicer or more helpful.
Shem even noticed some small shipping damage (Sunsetter's fault) and took pictures for me. But the damage isn't really noticeable once installed and everything works GREAT. These motorized, retractable, remote controlled awnings are wonderful. I have shade when I want it and sun when I want that. Oh, and I can now grill in the rain 🙂 In summary, if you are considering getting an outdoor awning. Just go straight to Home Living Window Fashions. You WANT them taking care of EVERYTHING.
